Alaska, well that's pretty different. I'm not sure I could ever get used to 20 hour days, let alone 20 hour nights!! I have a friend from Hawaii who had a very hard time adjusting to daylight hours that change throughout the year; she was used to the sun rising at 6:00 and setting at 6:00 every day... It's gets dark here! Boo! :-) I worked for NPS for a while before moving, it was really great being there at a time when so many of the parks were actively making these sustainable upgrades.
