I'm glad the images make an impression! We try to take our own pictures when we can, but some of them are harder than others, so I feel like we lean on stock image sites a lot right now. Now that it's warmer, I think we'll be working more on our own projects, which lend themselves to unique pictures!

Thanks for all your feedback! It's great to hear that we haven't degenerated into fluff pieces yet.

I looked through your blog, Andy, and I think it's interesting even if you just wrote it for class. If you ever want to make a guest post here, you'd be more than welcome!

I sometimes feel like the analytical articles are too spreadsheet-y, so I'm glad they're interesting to someone else!

I like that you use images. Maybe I should start putting images into my articles. Hmmm...

I think the blog is great! I have to be honest, I don't care one way about the pictures. I think they make your blog look more professional, certainly, but unless the pictures are of you or Maggie, they barely register with me. So I would personally say that if there are days when you are crunched for time, and don't want to go to the extra effort of finding a picture, I think that's fine.

Personally, Will, I love the analytical articles because I feel like you don't find that on every blog. I love the personal stories too because it's always cool to hear someone else's story, but the analytical articles are, I confess, my favorite.

It's a great blog. I didn't start reading blogs until last summer when I first came across No Impact Man. While I like daily (or the 5 weekday) posts, I would prefer fewer posts if that meant they were higher quality. Some blogs I read seem to just ramble if they don't have great information that day but feel like they need to post anyway, and thankfully I think this blog doesn't do that much.

Pictures are great for capturing attention. I skim over topics from Google Reader (I get about 10 blogs now but don't read every post on most of them) and having a picture puts a concept in my mind immediately. Some of these other blogs requiring reading a little before I decide it probably wasn't a topic I particularly cared for. But I do read all the posts from this blog now anyway.

I have rarely used the related links, but they aren't in the way either.

As for topics, I am always interested in the kind that make people think about consumerism, travel and resource use in general. For some reason, I find blogs about food not very interesting, but that might be because I read so much about it last year when I jumped into the 100-mile diet and now that I know what's good to eat and where to find it I don't care as much to read about it.

I think you are doing a great job though. I started one up, but mostly to post some of my articles for a class. I hope one day to find topics worth discussing and be able to make a decent blog, but I haven't been trying for that yet.

I like the pictures... I also like that you provide links to related posts.

I wouldn't mind reading more about what you eat. Chickens and sheep are out of the question for me (I don't think Maurice would appreciate if I used his room for livestock), so it's nice to read about smaller, simpler things.

I'd really like to hear how Maggie's WVO mission goes, and if certificates make a difference. It might be easier to convince my landlord to have WVO tubs in the basement now that gas is only 2 cents shy of that $4 mark here.
